The SIRUI Saturn V2 50 mm T2.9 adds 1.6x anamorphic rendering to full-frame dialogue and documentary sequences with a balanced field of view. A built-in 90° orientation switch lets the Sony E version move between horizontal and vertical capture without replacing the lens.
A consistent anamorphic image
The constant 1.6x squeeze gives the frame additional horizontal coverage after de-squeezing and creates the stretched bokeh and cinematic aspect ratio associated with anamorphic production. Natural, neutral flares keep the effect adaptable to documentary, travel and narrative work.
Horizontal and vertical filmmaking
A key feature of Saturn V2 is the ability to switch between horizontal and vertical anamorphic orientation using its rotating barrel and locking mechanism. It gives productions more freedom to shoot widescreen and vertical formats without changing the lens. Consistent focus gear positioning and a compact metal body support handheld or stabilised operation.
With an approximately 31 mm horizontal equivalent field of view after de-squeezing and a listed weight around 483 g, the 50 mm balances location context and closer dialogue framing.
